Before you start your Christmas break, there are 3 things to note:
1. Phone numbers
Notifications for reportable assault and missing care recipients must be made to the Department of Health. Phone 1800 081 549 to make a report from 4 January 2016 onwards.
The Aged Care Complaints Scheme is moving across to the Aged Care Commissioner as of 1 January 2016. Phone 1800 550 552 to make a complaint.
2. Government changes
The Department of Health is once again responsible for ageing and aged care. To help with the transition, information about ageing and aged care is available on both departmental websites at:
3. Training opportunities
We are adapting our courses to an e-learning format. In 2016 Erigo will:
- deliver age care specific training modules online
- take a blended learning approach to CPR and first aid certification
Of course we will still provide hands-on training, deliver aged care workshops and facilitate specific learning programs such as the WorkSafe approved HSR Initial and Refresher OHS Training Courses.
2015 was a big year for Erigo. We became a WorkSafe Victoria approved provider of HSR training courses and we were re-certified in AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems. We are looking forward to an even bigger year in 2016.
Until then, we wish you the happiest of holidays filled with magic moments and sweet indulgences.
