Aged Care Legislation
The Australian Government introduced the Aged Care Bill 2024 to Parliament on 12 September 2024. It passed Parliament on 25 November 2024 and will become the new Aged Care Act from 1 November 2025.
The Aged Care Act 1997 is the current legislation outlining the obligations and responsibilities that aged care providers must follow to receive subsidies from the Australian Government.
